The Associated Press recently reported that a Malaysian woman beat away an agressive tiger that had been visciously attacking her squirrel-hunting husband with a wooden spoon.![]() *Spatula used in place of wooden soup ladle but you get the idea... Now that's love! According to the AP article (which can be found on Yahoo! News Here), Han Besau saved her husband, Tambun Gediu, from a tiger attack by beating the animal on its head with a large wooden soup ladle and chasing it away from him. Tambun reportedly received treatment at a hospital for lacerations on his face and legs but was expected to make a full and speedy recovery. Apparently, according to the article, local officials planned to locate the tiger and chase it deeper in to the woods. We're not sure that's really needed - seems the woman who beat the tiger did a sufficient job of chasing it away. Dr Roman Tic's take: You know you're loved when your special someone rushes to your aid and beats a visious beast away with a wooden spoon. If we could all be so lucky to find such a mate.... |
